I don't use any edging on the borders of my gardens. However, I do keep the edges maintained by using a weed whacker every week.

she is acting like this because she is remembering the times when the older man touched her and she felt that it was wrong and didn't know what to do about it.or didn't know who she could trust to tell about it. he may have threaten to do harm to her if she told any body. that's why she don't want to talk about it. even though it was years ago she is still afraid to let anybody know exactly what he did or what he said to her. and by the boyfriends being cruel to her didn't help either. if you want to help her seek professional help for her that is so she can get out all the shame and anger that she feels out in the open so she can feel free to talk about it to someone. she probably don't want to tell you because she may think you will feel bad about her. right now she has everything bottled up inside and it has no where to go but to lash out at you some times. she's not going to be alright until she can voice or cry and get all that hurt, shame, and anguish out of her system. try to encourage her to seek help and let her know that you love her and will stand by her through everything, but don't tell her that unless you really mean it, because if you don't mean it that will make every thing worst and seem like you are against her. show her that she can trust you in the way that you treat her. and when you seek help for her see if you can get a woman where she will feel free to talk to, if she sees a man she may not want to talk to him because it was a man that hurt her. i'm surprised that she got married to you with this hanging over her. she don;'t want to show her figure because she is afraid of attracting other men. she feels like it is her fault that this happened to her as all assaulted women and children do. God bless you for wanting to bring her out of the hurt that she is in.

Its really sad to know a person who is have kids will do this to another kid. Shameless, He should be hanged.
Since your wife can't forget that incident even after so many years, consult a doctor as soon as possible if you haven't done yet. And doing this will not end your work. You being her soul mate have to take immense care for her. I understand that you care for her a lot or else you wouldn't have posted this question but you have to make her feel comfortable and secure with you. you also have to be patient when she turns violent. Change of place or going for an outing once in blue moon might work.
I wish i could have helped you but its true that only a doctor can.
Hats off to you that you have accepted her even after knowing her illness. God bless you

I grew mine in 1 gal or larger pot, what ever I had on hand. I would get the bush type, they don't need support. You can also hang the pots up to save the room, and let the plant hang down, pick pods often, that way you will get more and the outer skins won't be tough.

Mary Mary Quite Contrary: origin
Nursery Rhyme Origins & History

The origins are steeped in history... Bloody Mary!
The Mary alluded to in this traditional English nursery rhyme is reputed to be Mary Tudor, or Bloody Mary, who was the daughter of King Henry VIII. Queen Mary was a staunch Catholic and the garden referred to is an allusion to graveyards which were increasing in size with those who dared to continue to adhere to the Protestant faith - Protestant martyrs.
